About Tripurari Purnima/ Dev Deepavali (Source : Link wikipedia)

Kartika Poornima (Kartika purnima) is a HinduJain and Sikh holy festival, celebrated on the Purnima (full moon) day or the fifteenth lunar day of Kartika (November–December). It is also known as Tripuri Poornima and Tripurari Poornima. It is sometimes called Deva-Diwali or Deva-Deepawali - the festival of lights of the gods.

About Mandapeshwar Caves ( Link wikipedia)

The Mandapeshwar Caves (Marathiमंडपेश्वर गुंफा) is an 8th Century rock-cut shrine dedicated to Shiva
The caves are believed to have been built approximately 1500 to 1600 years ago, nearly around the same time as Jogeshwari caves (which were built between 520-550 AD).The name of the cave Mandapeshwar means Mandap Pe Eshwar. Hall of painting of Lord. The sculptures at Mandapeshwar were created beginning in the late Gupta Empire, or some time after. The caves are situated in  Borivali, a suburb of Mumbai. Originally, the caves were on the banks of the Dahisar River but later the course of the river changed.
The caves are declared as an archaeological heritage site and therefore are protected under law.

We went to Mandapeshwar caves for Tripurari Purnima. Every year the caves are decorated with lots of diyas. There is a Shiva Temple in the cave which is worshiped by many people on this day (Tripurari purnima).  People also light diyas of oil in the area of caves.
Here are the photographs I captured -

This are some pictures when my camera decided to do some abstract work  :)
